Outcome of appeal for jailed UK-Iranian mother could be next week

The husband of a woman from Hampstead imprisoned in Iran, says he believes the outcome of an appeal which took place today, could come as soon as next week.

Charity worker Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been sentenced to five years in an Iranian prison for allegedly plotting against the government in Tehran, but details of the charges against her have been kept secret.

Her husband Richard Ratcliffe claims his wife is being used as a bargaining chip between Iran and the UK.
