Benefit concert celebrates Persian poet Rumi

Earth is for everyone; That's the message behind a benefit gig taking place at the Union Chapel in Islington this weekend.

Called The Mystical Romance Concert Series, it will feature Iranian-born singer Shahrayr who will be accompanied by a full orchestra.

The event will focus on the tale of Rumi, a celebrated Persian poet and philosopher and will include dozens of love songs, perfectly timed for Valentine's Day.

Shahrayr has previously performed the concert in the US and Canada. Money raised will go to a range of causes including charities dealing with animal welfare and children affected by war.
