Mrs Orwell's latest outing at the Southwark Playhouse

Following a sell-out run at the Old Red Lion theatre in Islington, a play about the final stages of George Orwell's life is transferring to the Southwark Playhouse.

The story follows the novelist as he makes a marriage proposal to his friend Sonia, played by Cressida Bonas. She's forced to decide whether to enter into a loveless marriage with the writer or succumb to the advances of a different suitor - Lucien Freud.

Jimmy Walters is the play's Director and Peter Hamilton Dyer stars as George.
