The 50-metre long fatberg filling a Soho sewer

Engineers working to remove a 50 metre long fatberg in a sewer under Soho took London Live underground to see the 26 tonne mass of oil, wet wipes and nappies.

Thames Water is once again urging Londoners not to pour fat down drains.

The restaurant owners in the area are being encouraged to transport their waste to a recycling site in Stratford where it will be turned into biodiesel.

They also have plans to recycle elements of the huge fatberg in a Whitechapel sewer.
