Acid attacker John Tomlin jailed for 16 years

A man from Canning Town who attacked an aspiring model and her cousin with acid in East London has been jailed for 16 years. John Tomlin sprayed Resham Khan and Jameel Mukhtar with the corrosive liquid, as they sat in their car in Beckton in June last year. The 25 year old continued the attack as they attempted to escape. Snaresbrook Crown Court heard how both the victims suffered horrific and life changing injuries, and that Tomlin, who has a personality disorder, was not on his medication at the time. Resham, Jameel and their relatives have been speaking about the impact its had on their lives.
