Roman Dead

Inspired by the recent discovery of a rare Roman sarcophagus in Southwark, 11 skeletons and 250 other artifacts have gone on display. Roman Dead is the first exhibition of its kind to explore how Londoners from that era commemorated death. Jewellery found in graves and human remains with Black ancestry are among the pieces on show.
