Robots to help roadworks

It's hoped new technology could drastically reduce the number of roadworks that Londoners have to contend with.

A utilities firm says it's now rolling out a new fleet of robots, which are capable of carrying out repairs and checks on gas pipes, without lifting the tarmac.

Cadent is currently using the devices underneath one of London's busiest roads, The Strand.
