Notting Hill Carnival plaque

A huge blue plaque honouring the pioneers of the Notting Hill Carnival will be unveiled on Friday  ahead of the start of this year's festival. The tribute, from the Nubian Jak Community Trust, holds 70 names and will be the largest heritage sign of its kind in the world. Among those recognised will be the three musicians from Trinidad, who made history in 1965 by starting the carnival.
