Last year almost 5,000 men committed suicide, according to the Samaritans.
It is a figure that has been dropping in recent years, however the issue of men taking their own lives and the stigma surrounding mental health is still a priority for many charities across the country.
It's the subject of a new play coming to North London, called Distance, which follows the story of a young man, whose life goes down hill, causing him to consider to end it all.
The show opens on September 5th and runs at the Park Theatre until the 29th, with some special showings involving further Q&A sessions with mental health charities.
