North London 16 year old tipped for big literature prize

A 16 year old from Islington has been shortlisted for a major literature prize.


Tabitha Rubens is one of five teenage girls to make the final of the BBC Young Writer's Award,  which is supported by Cambridge University and the London based charity First Story.


Each of the texts is inspired by personal experience or a desire for social and political change.


Tabitha's story is called Oh Sister, Invisible.
