Fast Food Workers stage Strike in London

Employees of Wetherspoon's, McDonald's, TGI Fridays and UberEats riders joined a demonstration in Leicester Square this lunchtime demanding better working conditions across the hospitality industry.

The strikers came together to call for £10 an hour and union rights, an action supported by GMB London Region.

The rally coincided with industrial action by fast food workers in other cities both in the UK and across the world.

The employers have all defended their pay levels, and said support for the strike did not have widespread support from their workers.
