Police operation targets grooming gangs

A major police exercise has taken place across the capital, aimed at preventing child sex offenders from using hotels to carry out abuse.

Several venues, some which had previously received training from the MET, were visited by plain cothes officers, accompanied by a young police cadet - to test whether the scenario would raise alarm bells.

The NSPCC has welcomed the operation and London Live spoke to John Cameron from the charity.
