Islamic World at the British Museum

A permanent collection of Islamic crafts, textiles and art has gone on display at the British Museum.

The new gallery features everything from a 13th century incense burner to newly commissioned Saudi Arabian art.

The space aims to show global connections across a vast region of the world from West Africa to Southeast Asia.
