Joining together against hate crime

London has seen a reduction in the number of recorded hate crimes over the past 12 months - bucking the trend of the rest of England and Wales. Figures from the home office show that across the country there has been a rise by 17% in the number of incidents - with crimes based on religion seeing the sharpest increase.
