London kids help plant new life

Children at Barn Croft Primary in Walthamstow have been getting their hands dirty today as part of a scheme to plant 25,000 bulbs across Waltham Forest.

The council run project aims to put young Londoners in touch with nature, while bringing a bit of life to the area come spring.

Much of the planting will take place this weekend.
