Poppy Appeal launched in the capital

This year's Poppy Appeal has been launched at the National Maritime Musuem in Greenwich with the help of a former England Rugby player.

A six metre high installation was unveiled with messages from the First World War generation.

The sculpture also uses threads which lead to other parts of the UK, as we prepare to mark the centenary of the end of the conflict.
