Last hero to receive the Victoria Cross is honoured

A first world war hero from Muswell Hill was honoured today with the laying of a special memorial stone close to his birth place.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Brett Cloutman's acts of bravery led him to become the last officer to be awarded the Victoria Cross during the conflict.

A special ceremony took place at the Hornsey war memorial.
