Scanning the depths of the Thames

A boat named Thame has been launched at the foot of Tower Bridge today, becoming the latest in a high-tech fleet which will map out the riverbed of the Thames.

Covering a patch from Richmond to Kent, it will aid environmental projects as well and help with the flow of traffic, as the river gets busier with pubic and commercial boats.

The Deputy Mayor for Transport named the new boat.
