New unconventional war memorial unveiled in Southwark

A memorial was unveiled in Southwark this morning dedicated to those affected by war.

The sculpture  features a young a boy standing on top of a fallen tree, and is said to reflect those in the community and cause them to reflect on conflict both past and present.

I spoke to the artist behind the work as well as Peter John, the leader of Southwark Council, by the new piece in Elephant and Castle.
