Two Londoners nominated for Costa Book Award

The shortlist for this year's Costa Book Awards is out, with half of the 20 authors nominated from or based in the capital.

The prize is the only major one of its kind that is only open to writers living in the UK or Ireland with the winners announced in the New Year.

Two of the Londoners in the running spoke to London Live.

Richard Scott's with his first book 'Soho' is up for the Costa Poetry prize, while Tom Rachman's 'The Italian Teacher' is in the running for the Costa Novel award.
