A record year for finding treasures

The British Museum has revealed that 2017 was a record year for the number of treasures discovered by the public.

Over 78 thousand archaeological items were recorded, including a statuette found in a margerine tub and a Gold necklace from the early bronze age.

More than 350 of these treasures are now on show in local museums.
