Laura Bates on her debut fiction novel

The founder of the Everyday Sexism Project is releasing her debut fiction novel.

Having written several best-selling factual books, the latest offering from Laura Bates leans heavily on the testimonies of the teenagers she's campaigned for.

'The Burning' channels those stories through a 15-year-old called Anna, who becomes a victim of online bullying.

The novel also draws parallels between the treatment of women historically, to present day.
