'The Renaissance Nude' explores the development of the art form

A new exhibition at the Royal Academy traces the development of the nude through the greatest artists of the Renaissance period.

The vast exhibition uses work ranging from illustrations and full body paintings to bronze statuettes.

The collection gives people a chance to see the progression of the tradition which is central to European art.

The Renaissance Nude is on at the Royal Academy of Arts until June 2nd.
