London Fire Brigade advises smoke alarms in bedrooms

The London Fire Brigade has urged people to place smoke alarms in their bedrooms - amid new figures.

The research shows there were more than 12 bedroom fires a week in the capital last year - with candles or smoking the main cause.

The Brigade says having alarms just in hallways and landings aren't good enough.
