Fire Brigades Union says the Government needs to pay for all flammable cladding replacements

The Fire Brigade Union says people who've bought their own homes in blocks with dangerous cladding on the outside, are facing bills of up to 80,000 pounds to have it removed.

More than 2 years on from the Grenfell disaster, government figures show the material has been removed from 29 percent of social housing, but just 6 percent of private blocks.

The Union says Ministers must speed up the process, and cover the bill, to save lives.
