Making your Mark at the British Library

One of the oldest artefacts known to man has gone on display at the British Library, demonstrating the earliest recorded examples of writing.

The Mayan tablet dates back to 300 BC and is part of a new exhibition called Making your Mark, exploring the evolution of why writing began, and how it may develop in the future.
