The Met were unprepared for the tactics of Extinction Rebellion

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner has admitted that her officers were unprepared for the type and scale of the recent climate change protest, which brought parts of the capital to a standstill for days.

Giving evidence at City Hall, Cressida Dick suggested the tactics used by Extinction Rebellion in the weeks either side of Easter, had come as a surprise to Scotland Yard.
