Bringing together 17 cities over lunch

A community gardener from South London is about to set off on a 170 mile journey across England, with the aim of bringing neighbours together.

Carole Wright will walk through 17 towns and cities, inviting those she meets on the way to lunch.

Carole's mission is part of the annual Big Lunch event - which sees millions of people join street parties across the country.

Carole started by explaining how the idea blossomed when she decided to make something of her own community garden.
