Layers of London - the online project for Londoners

If you're not familiar with Layers of London - it's an online project for Londoners, which taps into historical and geographical maps of the capital, as well as research and knowledge to reveal how streets, areas and buildings have changed over the decades.

Current layers include a Tudor Map and post war bomb damage markers.

The latest layer has just been announced - which reflects the socio-economic conditions of Londoners at the turn of the 20th century.

Seif El Rashidi from the institute of Historical Research is the project manger.
