Author from Neasden wins prestigious award

A author from Neasden has won one of the most prestigious awards a young writer can receive for his debut novel "In Our Mad and Furious City.'

Guy Gunaratne aged just 35 was the recipient of the this year's Swansea University International Dylan Thomas Prize.

His book takes a subversive and timely look at 48 hours in a North West London housing estate after the murder of a British soldier.
