The Sweet Science of Bruising

We've heard the stories of Victorian women, constrained by corsets and usually controlled by men... but in the stage production of 'The Sweet Science of Bruising', the characters - quite literally - fight back.

The play follows the stories of 4 very different women in the 1800s being drawn in to the dark underground world of female boxing.

It's opening at Wilton's Music Hall until the end of June after a sell-out run last year.

Emma McDonald and Celeste Dodwell star in the show and have been speaking to Eleanor Cunningham.
