Protestors call for Silvertown tunnel plans to be scrapped

Protestors gathered outside City Hall today ahead of Mayor's Questions.

The demo, backed by Green party assembly members called for Sadiq Khan to scrap plans for a new road tunnel.

The link would connect the Greenwich Peninsula to Silvertown an area undergoing huge redevelopment.

But campaigners argue it will lead to more air pollution and wont solve congestion.
