Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe's husband on hunger strike

The Iranian foreign ministry has dismissed a fresh call from the Government to release Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who is currently serving 5 years in prison in Iran on spy charges.

Iran's deputy foreign minister said the Hampstead mother would have to serve her full five year term calling a hunger strike by her husband outside the country's embassy in West London as "blackmail".

Richard Ratcliffe has now been refusing to eat, in solidarity with his wife, for 11 days.
