Rebel Sounds at the Imperial War Museum

Musicians who have risked their lives for their craft are being celebrated in a new exhibition at the Imperial War Museum.

From Hitler's persecution of Swing and Jazz groups, to the ban of music in Mali under islamist rule, the showcase, called Rebel Sounds, tells the stories of the performers who persisted to protect their threatened cultures.
