2500th most advanced taxi in the world unveiled in Trafalgar Square

The 2500th electric taxi has been unveiled in Trafalgar Square today. The world's most advanced taxi features benefits for passengers including a panoramic glass roof, greatly improved comfort, the unique ability to take a forward-facing wheelchair and on-board WiFi. The cabs have prevented 6,800 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere – the same as 1,500 return flights from London to Sydney. They’ve also reduced NOx emissions, the major contributor to poor urban air quality, by 99.5 per cent over the previous taxi.
