'The Brand New Heavies' are back with new music

It's been 30 years since 'The Brand New Heavies' first entered the public eye, but the group are back with new music and a new chapter in their career.

Their latest album explores shared experiences of growing up in West London, putting together a mix of funk-pop, groove and soul.

Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy have been speaking to Helena Wadia  and they began by looking at their new single, 'Getaway'

The Brand New Heavies on the pressure of releasing their new album is out on the 6th of September and they'll be playing at the Islington Assembly Hall, on the 7th November.
