Londoners unfairly hit by stamp duty

Housebuilders and estate agents are calling on the Chancellor to firm up his position following conflicting reports on changes to stamp duty.

It was reported that Sajid Javid was initially considered shifting the burden of the property tax from buyers to sellers, but he has since denied this.

There are now hopes he will now call a Budget meeting ahead of Brexit to clarify measures which could improve the market in the capital.

One estate agent explains hoe Londoners are disproportionately punished by the levy.
