BFI's Director of festivals on the films being showcased this year

With a week to go until the opening night of this year's BFI London Film Festival, the director of the event has told London Live that 40% of the works being showcased this year, are from female directors.

Tricia Tuttle says the 63rd Festival will continue to push boundaries when it comes to gender representation.

The 12 days of screenings will include 28 World Premieres, and more than 220 feature films.

The BFI London Festival starts on October 2nd.
