Idris Khan OBE unveils sculpture made up of 65,000 photographs

London based artist Idris Khan OBE, has unveiled his latest work on the streets of Southwark.

The 8-metre installation is made up of 65,000 is his family photographs from the last 5 years - which have been cast in aluminium.

Working alongside Southwark Council to put the piece permanently in place, Idris says he hopes Londoners reflect on their own photography, and the space it's taking up. 

You can see the installation outside One Blackfriars.

65,000 Photographs was originally commissioned by London Borough of Southwark as part of the One Blackfriars Public Art Programme on behalf of St George City Limited.
