Hundreds of school children to become published authors

As part of the Southbank Centre's Imagine festival, hundreds of school children in the capital and the rest of the country are getting the opportunity to become published authors.

Selected schools will be able to submit one chapter of a story, under the guidance of the renowned London author Sharna Jackson - the sections will be collated together to create one big story.

The school children are taking part in the project from now until Christmas - and the final book will be on sale at the Southbank Centre's Imagine festival in February.

Alicia has been speaking to Sharna to find out more.
