Army veteran on completting the Everest Marathon for charity

Military veteran Sally Orange has recently completed the Everest Marathon, and done so in fancy dress (not as an orange, but as a lemon).

The Everest Marathon is the world’s highest marathon, a route in the Himalayas that sets off from Everest Base Camp, although it doesn’t summit the world’s highest peak.

Sally ran in support of the Samaritans, a cause close to her own heart after facing severe depression and chronic anxiety, she was medically discharged from the Armed Forces in 2019.

She spoke to London Live about this time in her life.

If you’re affected by any of the issues raised you can reach out to Samaritans 24 hours a day by calling 116 123.
