Binge drinking costs Ambulance Service £16m

London's paramedics are now dealing with nearly 200 alcohol related cases a day.

New figures show binge drinking is costing the Ambulance Service around £16m a year.

The London Assembly is now calling for more alcohol recovery centres after the capital's only drunk tank in Soho was shut down.

City Hall also want drunks fined £180 to deter people from drinking too much.
