20th May 2014

Women would rather vote for reality star Joey Essex than Nick Clegg according to a new survey by magazine Cosmopolitan.

More than 60% of 1,000 women surveyed said they agreed with Russell Brand calling our political system ‘broken’ and 12% said they wanted a completely new system.

The research also found that only 1% of the women, who are aged between 18-30, believes politicians to be hardworking, intelligent and essential. The majority described MPs as self-interested, deceitful and power hungry.

Only 1% voted for Clegg in the line up of the politicians they most admire, 3% said they would vote for reality star Joey Essex in a line up of alternative candidates.
