Plea to religious leaders on World Suicide Prevention Day

A man who’s fiancé took his own life after his family confronted him about his sexuality has written a plea asking religious leaders to help in making the LGBTQI + community feel equal and accepted.

Matt Mahmood-Ogston who lost his partner of 13 years set up the Naz and Matt foundation, a charity which aims to tackle homophobia triggered by religion.

Tanya spoke to Matt about the open letter and the new research done by the charity.
