Their use is on the rise but drones are not suitable for every situation. Whilst it may be a great solution to providing medicine to remote areas, delivery companies, who have toyed with the idea, would face many obstacles including liability risks. 

Mark Steyn from onDrone believes it is the future: "you can send up your cameras or sensors and do amazing things".

He also believes pilots will become a rare breed in 5-10 years as a result of advances in technology.
