Law firm taking legal action against big energy companies for “bribes” that may be inflating businesses energy costs
Energy companies are facing a legal claim from millions of businesses and community organisations after allegedly paying bribes to third-party brokers, which have inflated customers’ bills by billions of pounds.
Small- and medium-sized businesses, schools, care homes, charities, local authorities and other community organisations are all said to have been targeted by the brokers who, together with suppliers, have caused large hidden commissions to be added to customers’ energy bills.
Harcus Parker has written to several of the main gas and electricity suppliers in the first step in a group litigation.
