Rugby club to set up unique community programme

A South West London rugby club continues to help its local community in what has been a tough year during the pandemic.

The Championship side are only now returning to action on the pitch but have worked tirelessly over the last 13 months to provide for The Borough of Richmond.

Richmond Rugby believe they have bridged the gap between a shortfall in laptops and computers for young people in the borough.

They provide free school meals as well as regular food packs but now Richmond Rugby are gearing up for a ‘never seen before’ initiative in connection with The Metropolitan Police and The Marylebone Cricket Club.

Richmond Rugby Community Lead, Dominic Palacio, has been speaking to Henry Thomas-Aldridge about the project which will take place this Summer.
