Tower Hamlets invests £1m in green space

Tower Hamlets council is investing a million pounds into creating green spaces in the borough to improve public health.

The council is planning to plant trees, improve cycle and walking routes and introduce new street furniture to Andrew Street, Buxton Street and parts of Allen Gardens. It's also creating a 'pocket park' at Bow School.

But residents say the funding isn't enough to keep up with the area's growing population.
