UCL students gather at the High Court seeking compensation for Covid-19 & strike disruption

Thousands of University College London students seeking compensation over Covid and strike disruption were able to take their battle to the High Court.

Today marked the start of a two day hearing following breakdowns in previous mediation talks between UCL and over 5000 students.

The hearing will potentially decide if the case goes to trial and will set a date if it does.

UCL is one of potentially over 100 universities and colleges that could end up facing legal action by students affected.

Lawyers for the Student Claim Group are urging students who think they were affected to lodge a claim with the group action.
