What will happen to the 29 billion coins in circulation with the Queens face on them?
After 70 years on the throne Queen Elizabeth II was a part of our everyday lives, we are used to seeing her portrait and royal crest on our televisions, food items and coins but this is all about to change.
There are 29 billion coins in circulation in the UK that have the Queens head on them and we will soon begin a a lengthy process of changing that from a face of our Queen to one of our King.
Dominic Chorney, an ancient coin specialist, spoke to Tanya about what the new coin might look like and what might be involved in the process of changing over the currency.
